Chiron Announces USA agent.
Chiron
proudly announces that Salinas, California based David Jansen is to be
the Chiron World Sports Cars American agent. He will take care of all
sales in the USA and is now looking for up to six regional agents to
work with him. The first car is to be shipped early in 2004. All cars
will be SCCA homologated. The cars will be available for Endurance or
sprint races and will be eligible to race in the C Sports Racer class.
Henry Nickless, Director of Chiron WSC said "We are very excited
by this new venture into the USA. It is a very large market place for
Chiron WSC and we can't wait to get the first cars out there".
The cars will be available with a range of Automotive 4 cylinder engines,
and different specifications to suit different budgets.
With the car being so strong in the UK, it should be very competative
in the USA. Only a few changes will be needed to the current design
to meet the SCCA rules. These are mainly changes to the roll hoops.The
two seater design should create interest with race schools/trackday
sales for the cars also.
